Bite-sized kibble and the richest protein in the range.
Small dogs burn energy at a rate that would exhaust a Labrador — proportionally they need more per kilo, not less, which is why this recipe runs richer than the medium and large versions at 24.7% protein and 15.7% fat.
The kibble is bite-sized, which matters: a small dog struggling with pieces meant for a bigger mouth either bolts them or gives up. Chicken and turkey meal lead the list, with omega-6 fatty acids and vitamin E for skin and coat, and dried tomato pomace, citrus pulp and spinach adding the antioxidants that support immune health. For small and mini breeds aged one to six, up to 10 kg fully grown.
Chicken and turkey meal, maize, wheat, brewers' rice, animal fat, digest, vegetable oil, minerals, flaxseed, dried tomato pomace, citrus pulp, and spinach powder.
Store in a cool, dry place, sealed. Use within six weeks of opening — the 1.5 kg bag is right for a single small dog, since a 10 kg bag will go stale long before he finishes it. Weigh the portion; on a 4 kg dog an eyeballed scoop is easily a quarter out. Fresh water, always.
