Small breeds are over-represented among dogs who don't get on with chicken, and it tends to show up early — loose stools, itchy skin, or simply a puppy who isn't interested in dinner.
Broken rice leads this recipe at 24% with lamb meal at 16%, giving a single easily digestible animal protein instead of a poultry blend. Fish oil sits at 1.4%, nearly three times the chicken version, which matters if skin is part of what you're trying to fix. Pea protein and soybean meal fill out the protein, DHA supports brain and eye development, and the same antioxidant support backs a developing immune system. Kibble is sized for a small mouth. Suitable to twelve months, and for pregnant or nursing bitches under 10 kg.

Looking after it
Store in a cool, dry place, sealed. Use within six weeks. If you've switched because of a suspected sensitivity, feed this and nothing else for six weeks — puppy treats will undo the test. Four meals a day under four months, then three. Small breeds shouldn't go long without food. Fresh water, always.
