Small dogs gain weight on almost nothing. This helps.
A small dog's daily ration is so modest that a single extra treat can be a tenth of it. That's why small breeds put weight on so easily and why owners rarely spot the cause — the maths is unforgiving in a way it simply isn't for a Labrador.

Feed to the weight he should be, not the one he is. Weigh the portion. If you're adding wet food, use the mixed rows rather than putting a can on top of a full bowl. Fresh water, always.
