Karoo is Montego's limited-ingredient range, made in Graaff-Reinet. The idea is a short list: two proteins, one grain, and nothing that isn't doing a job. No corn, no soy, no gluten, no artificial colours or flavours.
Chicken meal leads, with lamb liver and lamb heart behind it and rice as the single carbohydrate — which matters for a cat who reacts to a long ingredient list. Protein sits at 33% with 15% fat, and taurine at 0.15% covers the heart and eyes, which cats can't make for themselves. Citrus fibre and beet pulp keep the gut moving and help with hairballs; magnesium is held to 0.09% to support urinary pH. Freeze-dried melon juice and nutritional yeast are in there for immune support.

Store in a cool, dry place, sealed. Use within six weeks of opening. Karoo is a limited-ingredient food, so it's worth introducing slowly — a week, mixing a little more in each day — precisely because you want to know whether it's helping. Measure her food; 405 kcal per 100 g is energy-dense and it adds up fast on a cat. Fresh water, always.
