36% protein and DHA, for the fastest growing she'll ever do.
A kitten does most of her growing in the first year, and she does it on a stomach that holds very little. That means the food has to be dense rather than plentiful — 36% protein, 18% fat and 420 kcal per 100 g, the richest thing in the Karoo range.
DHA at 0.25% supports brain and retina development, which is the part that has a deadline; taurine at 0.2% covers heart and eyes. Whole egg powder and chicken meal carry the protein, rice is the single grain, and citrus fibre with beet pulp keeps a young digestive system settled. Freeze-dried melon juice and nutritional yeast back an immune system that's taking over from her mother's. Feed it to twelve months, and to a pregnant or nursing queen.

A guide, not a rule — each age band is given as a range and where she sits in it depends on her build and how much she's tearing about. Three or four small meals a day while she's little, then two. Fresh water, always.
