14% fat, because an overweight Dachshund is a back injury waiting.
Fat here is 14% — the lowest of any small-breed adult food in this range — and that is not an accident. Weight is the single modifiable risk factor for disc disease in a Dachshund, and a dog carrying an extra kilo over a spine that long is meaningfully closer to a rupture.
Protein stays at 28% to hold the back and abdominal muscle that stabilises the spine, glucosamine and chondroitin support the joints and cartilage, and calcium and phosphorus are set at 8 g/kg and 6.6 g/kg. Pentasodium triphosphate at 3.5 g/kg works against tartar in a breed that gets dental disease early. The kibble is elongated to suit a long narrow muzzle. For dogs from ten months.
Rice, dehydrated poultry protein, vegetable protein isolate (L.I.P. — protein selected for its very high digestibility), hydrolysed animal proteins, animal fats, vegetable fibres, beet pulp, fish oil, soya oil, minerals, fructo-oligo-saccharides, borage oil, marigold extract (source of lutein), hydrolysed crustaceans (source of glucosamine), hydrolysed cartilage (source of chondroitin). Additives (per kg) — Nutritional additives: Vitamin A 31,500 IU · Vitamin D3 800 IU · E1 (Iron) 35 mg · E2 (Iodine) 3.6 mg · E4 (Copper) 11 mg · E5 (Manganese) 46 mg · E6 (Zinc) 139 mg · E8 (Selenium) 0.07 mg. Technological additives: Clinoptilolite of sedimentary origin 10 g. Sensory additives: tea extract (source of polyphenols) 150 mg. Preservatives. Antioxidants.
Store in a cool, dry place, sealed. Use within six weeks of opening. Ramps rather than stairs, a harness rather than a collar, and support her whole body when you lift her. Swimming is excellent for a Dachshund. If she ever yelps on being picked up, goes quiet and stiff, or drags a back leg, that is a same-day emergency — disc injuries are far more treatable in the first hours than the next morning.

A guide, not a rule, and err low. Weigh her food. Two meals, fed dry. Fresh water, always.
