An English Bulldog puppy is unusually front-heavy — a broad chest and a large head over short legs — which loads shoulders and elbows in a way most breeds never experience. She's also brachycephalic, with folds that trap moisture and a digestive system that objects to most things.
Fat is held to 17% for controlled growth, with calcium at 1.26% and phosphorus at 1% balanced for a skeleton carrying an unusual weight distribution, and glucosamine and chondroitin supporting cartilage while it forms. The kibble is shaped for a wide, undershot brachycephalic jaw. Highly digestible proteins with prebiotics and betaglucans handle a gut that is not the breed's strong point. She moves onto English Bulldog Adult at thirteen months.

Store in a cool, dry place, sealed. Use within six weeks of opening. Clean and dry every fold daily — the nose rope, the face and the tail pocket — and check for redness. Harness, never a collar. **She cannot swim and she cannot cool herself properly**: no unfenced pools, no midday walks, never left in a car. Keep her lean and off stairs while she's growing.
