Nine percent fat and a lot of fibre. She'll still feel full.
The hard part of putting a cat on a diet isn't the diet. It's the cat — sitting by the bowl, following you to the kitchen, waking you at five. Cut her portion of an ordinary food and she's genuinely hungry, and most people cave inside a fortnight.
This gets around that with volume. Fat is cut to 10% while fibre runs high at 10.4%, so a normal-looking bowl carries far fewer calories and leaves her feeling full rather than short-changed. L-carnitine at 200 mg/kg helps her burn fat rather than store it. Protein stays high at 36% — that's the part that matters, because a cat losing weight on a low-protein food loses muscle along with fat, ends up with a slower metabolism, and regains it faster than she lost it. The vitamin and mineral balance is set so a reduced ration still covers everything she needs.
Dehydrated poultry protein, vegetable fibres, vegetable protein isolate (L.I.P. — protein selected for its very high digestibility), maize, hydrolysed animal proteins, maize gluten, maize flour, rice, wheat, animal fats, minerals, beet pulp, yeasts and parts thereof, fish oil, psyllium husks and seeds, soya oil. Additives (per kg) — Nutritional additives: Vitamin A 21,000 IU · Vitamin D3 800 IU · Iron (3b103) 30 mg · Iodine (3b201, 3b202) 3 mg · Copper (3b405, 3b406) 9 mg · Manganese (3b502, 3b504) 39 mg · Zinc (3b603, 3b605, 3b606) 128 mg · Selenium (3b801, 3b811, 3b812) 0.06 mg · L-carnitine 200 mg. Preservatives. Antioxidants.
Store in a cool, dry place, sealed. Use within six weeks of opening. Weigh her monthly and aim for slow loss — around 1% of body weight a week. Cats should never lose weight quickly; rapid loss can trigger a serious liver condition (hepatic lipidosis). If she stops eating altogether for more than a day or two, see your vet rather than waiting it out. Measure with a scale, not a cup. Fresh water, always.

A guide, not a rule — read from her *current* weight, using the Overweight rows if she needs to lose. The "+ 1 pouch" rows assume one 85 g Royal Canin Light Weight Care pouch a day. Split across two or three meals; more meals helps with the begging. Fresh water, always.
