Between four and twelve months a kitten is doing more growing than at any other point, on a jaw that still can't manage much. Piece size matters as much as nutrition here.

The slices are cut for a small mouth and developing teeth, and the texture and flavour are built around what cats instinctively go for — which sounds like marketing until you've tried to persuade a kitten to eat something she's decided against. At 12% protein it's the richest of the Royal Canin wet range, which is what a growth phase needs. Looking after it

Serve at room temperature. Cover and refrigerate leftovers and use within 24 hours. Kittens this age need three or four meals a day — a single large portion is too much for the stomach and most of it will be wasted. Move onto adult food at around twelve months, not before. Fresh water, always, in a wide bowl away from the food.
