A big anxious dog is a bigger problem than a small one.
An anxious 40 kg dog isn't just a distressed dog — she's a management problem. Pacing all night, destroying a door, or reacting badly on lead is harder to live with and harder to fix, and it's the kind of thing that ends with a dog being rehomed.
Hydrolysed fish protein is the working ingredient — a milk-and-fish-derived peptide with published evidence behind it for reducing anxious behaviour, and it's why this food exists rather than being an ordinary one with calming claims. Alongside it, a moderate energy level suits a dog who isn't burning much off, and highly digestible proteins with beet pulp settle a gut that anxiety upsets. It is not a sedative and it is not a substitute for dealing with the cause. It gives you a calmer starting point to work from. This version also carries glucosamine and chondroitin, which the Mini and Medium don't — a large frame needs joint support whatever else is going on.

Store in a cool, dry place, sealed. Use within six weeks of opening. Give it three to four weeks before judging. Pair it with proper work — a behaviourist is worth the money with a large reactive dog, both for her and for everyone around her. Physical exercise helps but mental work helps more: scent games and food puzzles tire an anxious dog in a way a longer walk doesn't.
