Soft enough to lap, solid enough to count as a meal.
Weaning is a short, awkward window. A kitten wants solid food before she can really manage it, and getting the texture right matters as much as the recipe.
An ultra-soft mousse solves that — soft enough to lap like milk, dense enough to be a proper meal, and gentle on a digestive system that has only ever handled one thing. DHA supports brain development at the point it counts, and a blend of antioxidants, vitamins E and C, taurine and lutein backs an immune system that's just lost the protection it was getting from its mother. Prebiotics support the gut flora establishing itself. It works for the queen too — pregnant and nursing cats need far more energy than at any other point, and this is dense enough to supply it. For kittens one to four months.
Meat and animal derivatives, cereals, fish and fish derivatives, vegetable protein extracts, oils and fats, derivatives of vegetable origin, minerals, various sugars.
Serve at room temperature — cold from the fridge is too cold for a small kitten. Cover and refrigerate leftovers and use within 24 hours. Feed little and often; a kitten this age has a stomach the size of a marble. Let a nursing queen eat as much as she wants — she'll self-regulate, and underfeeding her costs the litter. Fresh water available alongside from about four weeks.
