Sterilising a kitten who hasn't finished growing creates an awkward problem: she still needs the energy to build a body, but her metabolism has just slowed by roughly a third. Feed her as a kitten and she gains; feed her as an adult and she doesn't finish growing properly.
This threads between the two. High-quality proteins at 11% support the muscle she's still laying down, while the energy is controlled to prevent the post-sterilisation weight gain that catches most owners out in the first year. The mineral balance supports urinary health, which matters particularly for sterilised cats, and the recipe backs a developing immune system.
