Biotin from eight weeks, because that coat starts early.
A Yorkie's coat is the whole point of the breed and it is genuinely unusual — closer to human hair than to a normal dog's, growing continuously rather than shedding in cycles. It starts as a puppy's dark fuzz and takes two years to become the thing you see in the ring.
That's why biotin is here at 3 mg/kg from eight weeks, alongside omega-6 at 38 g/kg, EPA and DHA at 3 g/kg and borage oil — the coat she'll have at two is built now, not later. Protein at 29% and fat at 20% cover a short, intense growth period, with betaglucans and prebiotics on the immune and digestive side. The 500 g bag exists because a Yorkie puppy eats about 50 g a day and you want it fresh. She moves onto Yorkshire Terrier Adult at eleven months.
Dehydrated poultry protein, rice, maize flour, animal fats, vegetable protein isolate (L.I.P. — protein selected for its very high digestibility), beet pulp, hydrolysed animal proteins, minerals, soya oil, fish oil, yeasts and parts thereof, fructo-oligo-saccharides (0.34%), hydrolysed yeast (source of manno-oligo-saccharides), borage oil (0.1%), yeast extracts (source of betaglucans), marigold extract (source of lutein). Additives (per kg) — Nutritional additives: Vitamin A 29,000 IU · Vitamin D3 800 IU · Vitamin E 590 mg · Biotin 3 mg · E1 (Iron) 39 mg · E2 (Iodine) 3.9 mg · E4 (Copper) 12 mg · E5 (Manganese) 51 mg · E6 (Zinc) 106 mg · E8 (Selenium) 0.08 mg. Technological additives: Clinoptilolite of sedimentary origin 10 g. Sensory additives: Yucca extract 125 mg. Preservatives. Antioxidants.
Store in a cool, dry place, sealed. Use within six weeks — buy the 500 g first if she's a fussy starter. Start brushing her daily while she's small and tolerant; a Yorkie who won't be groomed at two is a real problem, and the coat mats close to the skin where you can't see it. Toy puppies are prone to low blood sugar, so feed little and often. Keep her off high furniture.
