Bounces sideways. Blue is the one dogs pick out fastest against grass.
The ball for a dog who has destroyed every other ball. "Built For Tough Chewers" — and it's made from Zogoflex, a thermoplastic elastomer that stretches to something like 400 times its length before it gives.
The shape is deliberately not quite round, so the bounce is erratic. That's the fun of it: a predictable bounce gets boring, an unpredictable one keeps a clever dog guessing.
It floats, it's dishwasher safe, and West Paw will recycle it into another toy when it's finished.

Blue is the pick if you want your dog to find it fast. Dogs see blue and yellow well and are effectively red-green colourblind, so a blue ball stands out against grass in a way an orange one doesn't — even though orange is easier for you to spot.
Worth reading before you buy on the strength of the word Zogoflex: "No dog toy is indestructible. Choose only toys that are the appropriate shape and size for your dog and always supervise your dog's use of this toy. If damage occurs, please discontinue use of the toy immediately." All dog toys risk ingestion, and loose pieces may cause a blockage if swallowed. Zogoflex is BPA-free, phthalate-free, latex-free and silicone-free, made in Bozeman, Montana.
